Prior to becoming a full-time Realtor, Karen spent her early career managing a team of professionals to successfully promote, plan and implement academic summer programs for High School students in the United States and abroad. Detail oriented and customer service driven, Karen thrived in her management position for 18 years. Having had the opportunity to work with clients from all over the world, Karen’s experience working with individuals from different cultures helped fine tune her communication and customer service skills. Karen wore many hats during her 18 year management career, and it has provided her with the ability to multi-task at a high level of efficiency. This strong foundational skill set would prove to pave the way to a seamless transition into the world of Real Estate.

In 2011, after many years of renting summer homes, Karen and her husband purchased a summer home in beautiful Bradley Beach, New Jersey. What began as a summer home, soon began to feel like their forever home. In 2013, Karen retired from her career in management, sold her New York City apartment and moved full time to Bradley Beach. She hasn’t looked back since! It was this transaction that inspired Karen to become a Realtor with The Connolly Agency in Avon By The Sea.

A member of NAR-National Association of Realtors, Karen holds the designations of SRES- Seniors Real Estate Specialist and (PSA) Pricing Strategies Advisor. A strong eye for detail and keen intuition, combined with a candid yet empathetic approach to helping her clients achieve their buying and selling goals, are a few of the qualities that make Karen an outstanding Realtor. Her extensive knowledge of the local market has proved to be of great value to the clients she represents. From first time home buyers, to those looking to upsize or downsize, to investors looking to acquire their next income property, Karen skillfully guides them through the home buying and selling process. Her extensive network of reliable professionals helps to ensure the entire process is streamlined. Karen has experience working with investors at every step of the transaction, from property acquisition to assisting with renovation and design decisions. Karen admits to having an obsession with design and decorating, and loves to assist clients in preparing homes for sale. It is not uncommon for Karen to keep in touch with her clients long after the closing has taken place. “I love the relationship that develops over the course of each home sale. I am always flattered when my clients continue to reach out to me for recommendations regarding home improvements, decorating advice and the like. Returning to the property after the sale and seeing how they made it their own brings me joy. I truly love what I do!” Karen will also tell you that the truest form of flattery is in the referrals she receives from her clients. “When the phone rings and the person states, ‘You helped my friend buy/sell a house in the area and I was hoping you could help me, too’ that inspires me. For me, that is what it is all about; helping people turn their dreams into reality.”

Karen is a self proclaimed foodie, outdoor enthusiast and loves to take in the sunrise along the shoreline on her morning walks. “When I am not in Real Estate mode, I am all about enjoying the lifestyle the Jersey Shore offers. There is something about living at the beach that I simply can’t put into words. I get to live where people come to vacation! “
