Millennials are notorious for being environmentally aware; always attempting to reduce, reuse, recycle and make the world a greener place. The Millenials have packed up and left the suburbs for a more urbanized life. The need for accessible public transportation, abundant jobs, and a downtown has made them ditch the greener mindset. This demand for housing in urbanized areas has caused the cost of living there to skyrocket. The student debt and high costs of living are making more move back to the suburbs.  Most importantly, lower taxes and more space are needed because of their growing families. Another reason is towns are adapting and fixing the need for more accessible transportation. Some are building apartments, and some are slowing evolving to have a central downtown to bring an urbanized feel to the green yard, American dream suburbia.
