Local St. Patrick’s Day Parades- this weekend!
We hope you’ve got your green ready because it’s St. Patrick’s Day parade time here at the Jersey Shore.
By our count, the northern, central and shore regions of the state will host at least 20 St Patrick Day parades across 22 days leading up to and following St. Patrick’s Day on Friday, March 17. The fun starts this weekend in Monmouth and Ocean County!

If you were planning on attending the Seaside Heights parade, see the major announcement below! Due to poor weather forecasts for Saturday, March 11- Seaside Heights has decided to postpone their parade until Saturday, April 1, 2023, so don’t forget to mark your calendars! Now we have an extra weekend of parades to look forward to!

The good times return to Asbury Park’s waterfront and downtown, with the parade beginning 1 p.m. Sunday, March 12, starting at the north end of the Boardwalk. There’s an afterparty featuring Big Bang Baby at the Wonder Bar, Fifth and Ocean Avenues, and the presenting sponsor/parade headquarters is Johnny Mac House of Spirits on Main Street; asburyparkstpatricksparade.com.

Part of the Irish Week festivities in the borough, the Freehold Borough Arts Council’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, March 12, at McLean and Main Streets; downtownfreehold.com.
Rumson’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a relative newcomer to the calendar, having launched in 2013. It returns at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 12, starting at Allen Street and River Road; rumsonstpatricksdayparade.org.
Ocean County (Seaside Heights)
Due to the weather forecast for Saturday, March 11, the Ocean County festivities have been postponed until Saturday, April 1. The parade begins at Boulevard and J Street in Seaside Heights; ocstpatricksdayparade.com. The parade day committee will also present the Shamrocks by the Sea Irish Festival at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, on the bay in Seaside Park; shamrocksbythesea.com.
