Wall Township is located in southern Monmouth County in close proximately to the Jersey Shore.  It is a larger town in southern Monmouth County and is divided into several communities including Allaire, Allenwood, Glendola, Old Mill, Manasquan Estates, Sea Girt Estates and West Belmar. Wall is surrounded by Sea Girt, Manasquan, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights, Belmar, Howell, Farmingdale and Tinton Falls.

The town is home to farmland, acre properties, and various types of single family homes. The median home price is $450,000. It has a current population of over 26,000 residents and 10,051 households. The town has a primary school, four elementary schools (k-5), an intermediate school (6-8), and its own high school (9-12).

Wall is surrounded by picturesque open spaces, parks, and churches. It is home to Allaire State ParkBel-Aire Golf Course which is part of the Monmouth County Park system, and the Wall Township Library which is part of the Monmouth County Library System. Wall is also home to various shopping centers that service the local area.

The town’s recreation department provides various activities including basketball, tennis, baseball, football, soccer, etc. all of which are provided at the various parks throughout the town.

The township is noteworthy for its Roadside Diner which was filmed in the 1983 movie “Baby It’s You”, its appearance on the cover of the 1994 Bon Jovi album “Cross Road: 14 Classic Grooves”, and its feature in the music video “Girls in Their Summer Clothes” by Bruce Springsteen.

WALL AREA SCHOOLS

The Wall Township School District offers a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in Kindergarten through twelfth grade from Wall Township, in Monmouth CountyNew Jersey,  enrolling approximately 3900 students per year.  It has a primary school, 4 elementary schools (Allenwood, Old Mill, Central and West Belmar) as well as its own Intermediate School and High School.  In addition, Wall Township students can attend one of the five academy nationally-ranked schools in the Monmouth County Vocational School District.  There are also a variety of private and parochial schools at both the elementary and high school levels in the immediate area.

WALL TRANSPORTATION

Located approximately 60 miles from New York City, Belmar is served by several public and private transportation operations.

Train
Wall Township is located in close proximity to the NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line, and is serviced by the local towns of Belmar, Spring Lake and Manasquan.  This line runs from Bayhead, NJ, in the south to Hoboken, NJ, Newark Penn Station, and New York City Penn Station and connects riders to Amtrack and Newark Airport.

Bus
Wall is served by NJ Transit Buses with routes throughout New Jersey.

In addition, a number of private commuter bus companies operate in the area, including Academy Bus (www.academybus.com), providing daily service to New York City, Philadelphia, Atlantic City and points between.

Ferry
Commuters and visitors to New York City can travel from Wall via ferry from nearby Atlantic Highlands on Seastreak Ferry NJ.
