Point Pleasant Beach is a town located on the Jersey Shore in the coastal portion of Ocean County. It is situated on the Barnegat Peninsula, a long narrow barrier that divides the Barnegat Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The town is just south of Manasquan and borders the additional town of Point Pleasant Borough.

The Point Pleasant School District consists of a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in kindergarten through twelfth grade from Point Pleasant Beach, in Ocean County, New Jersey, United States. In addition to the students of Point Pleasant Beach the district serves the students of Bay Head and Lavallette for grades 9-12 and those from Mantoloking for K-12, as part of sending/receiving relationships. Some outside tuition students attend both schools.
