Point Pleasant Beach is a town located on the Jersey Shore in the coastal portion of Ocean County. It is situated on the Barnegat Peninsula, a long narrow barrier that divides the Barnegat Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The town is just south of Manasquan and borders the additional town of Point Pleasant Borough.

Point Pleasant Beach offers various shopping areas, restaurants, and small businesses primarily located along the water or on the town’s boardwalk. The Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk is approximately one mile long. The boardwalk offers amusement rides, the Jenkinson’s Arcades, pizza joints, ice cream parlors, games of chance and miniature golf.

Point Pleasant Beach is home to various styles of homes with a medium sale price of approximately $350,000. It has a current population of approximately 4,700 residents and 1,985 households. The town has a k-8 elementary school named the G. Harold Antrim Elementary School and its own high school for grades 9-12 entitled The Point Pleasant Beach High School.
