Neptune Township is located along the Jersey Shore. It borders the Shark River to the South and Asbury Park and Ocean Township to the north as well as stretching to the Atlantic Ocean with the seaside community of Ocean Grove. The borough has a total area of over eight square miles, with ½ mile being made up of water.
Neptune Township is divided into the seaside community of Ocean Grove, and the riverside community of Shark River Hills as well as the other communities entitled Mid-town, Bradley Park, the Gables, Summerfield, Green Grove, Seaview Island, and West Neptune.
