Neptune Township is located along the Jersey Shore. It borders the Shark River to the South and Asbury Park and Ocean Township to the north as well as stretching to the Atlantic Ocean with the seaside community of Ocean Grove. The borough has a total area of over eight square miles, with ½ mile being made up of water.
Neptune Township is divided into the seaside community of Ocean Grove, and the riverside community of Shark River Hills as well as the other communities entitled Mid-town, Bradley Park, the Gables, Summerfield, Green Grove, Seaview Island, and West Neptune.

The Township is home to various styles of homes with a median home price of $258,000. It has a current population of nearly 28,000 residents and 11,201 households. The town has an early childhood center, six preK-5 elementary schools, a middle school and high school.

Neptune Township is home to the beautiful beaches of Ocean Grove and is surrounded by picturesque parks and the Shark River.
