Neptune City is a town located on the Jersey Shore. It borders Avon-by-the-Sea, Bradley Beach and Neptune Twp. The borough has a total area of approximately one square mile, all of which is land.

The Borough of Neptune City is home to various styles of homes with a median home price of $238,500. It has a current population of nearly 5,000 residents and 2,133 households. The town has a k-8 elementary school named the Woodrow Wilson School. High School students attend the Neptune High School through a sending/receiving relationship with Neptune Township.
Neptune City is surrounded by picturesque parks and the Shark River. It is also in close proximate to the local beaches of Avon-by-the-Sea and Bradley Beach as well as the Belmar Marina. The town offers shops, restaurants, and local businesses.

The town has a recreation department which offers a recreation center with a gym, game room, exercise room, computer room, TV room, and a special occasion room. The program offers a wide array of activities including basketball, tennis, baseball, soccer, a summer program, etc.
Neptune City is notable for being home to Pete and Elda’s and it’s famous “thin crust pizza”.

Neptune City is located along the NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line, served by train stations in neighboring towns of Asbury Park and Bradley Beach. This line runs from Bayhead, NJ, in the south to Hoboken, NJ, Newark Penn Station, and New York City Penn Station and connects riders to Amtrack and Newark Airport.

Bus
Neptune City is served by NJ Transit Buses with routes throughout New Jersey.

In addition, a number of private commuter bus companies operate in the area, including Academy Bus (www.academybus.com), providing daily service to New York City, Philadelphia, Atlantic City and points between.

Ferry
Commuters and visitors to New York City can travel from Neptune City via ferry from nearby Atlantic Highlands on Seastreak Ferry NJ.
