Belmar is a town located on the Jersey Shore between Avon-by-the-Sea and Spring Lake. It is also bordered on the west/northwest by Wall Township and Lake Como and Neptune Township. It was originally incorporated as Ocean Beach Borough.
The Borough of Belmar is home to various styles of homes with a median home price of $550,000. It has a current population of over 5,500 residents and 2,695 households. The town has a k-12 elementary school as well as Saint Rose Catholic Elementary and High School.
The city is surrounded by picturesque beaches, parks, and the Belmar Marina. The town offers shops, restaurants, and local businesses. Belmar is notable for being the home of the first and oldest first-aid squad in the United States. In addition, “E” Street is the original source of Bruce Springsteen’s “E Street Band”.

Belmar is located along the NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line, and hosts its own train station. This line runs from Bayhead, NJ, in the south to Hoboken, NJ, Newark Penn Station, and New York City Penn Station and connects riders to Amtrack and Newark Airport.
