The borough of Manasquan is located on the Jersey Shore at the southern end of Monmouth County. It is situated between the towns of Sea Girt, Brielle and Point Pleasant. Manasquan has an active down town with its own post office, elementary school, high school, along with shops, restaurants, small businesses and banks.

The Manasquan Public Schools serve students from Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Schools in the district are Manasquan Elementary School with approximately 680 students in grades K-8 and Manasquan High School with approximately 990 students in grades 9-12. In addition to students from Manasquan, the district's high school also serves public school students from Avon-by-the-Sea, Belmar, Brielle, Lake Como, Sea Girt, Spring Lake, and Spring Lake Heights, who attend Manasquan High School as part of sending/receiving relationships with their respective districts. The Manasquan public school buildings are located across from each other on Broad Street.
