This Friday marks Cinco de Mayo! The date is observed to commemorate the Mexican Army’s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza. Here in the U.S., Cinco de Mayo has become a day to celebrate Mexican-American culture. Here’s just a few local spots where you can have your celebration! The Columns is kicking off their season this weekend starting on Friday with the E-Street Shuffle starting at 9 PM. Saturday, Bob Bandiera & Friends are back starting at 8 PM. Head over and enjoy the ocean views and know soon, you can be heading to the Columns after your day at the beach!
D’Jais, Belmar
D’Jais in Belmar has a whole line-up planned for their Opening Weekend. Friday night kicks it off with Holme Annual Rock for Autism starting at 7 PM.
